ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Richard Fraser was born on a Canadian air force base in Germany, which sparked his inherent interest in the air force and World War II. His father's career led the family to three military bases in western Canada and a return stint in Germany before settling in Chilliwack, BC, upon his father's retirement. Richard completed his schooling in Chilliwack and then enrolled as an Auxiliary Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) while obtaining his Criminology degree.
An expected career in law enforcement did not materialize, when instead, Richard joined the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) as one of its first civilian Intelligence Officers. After nearly a decade of service with CSIS, Richard embarked on a new adventure when he was hired by a recently elected Member of Parliament to become her Executive Assistant. This role provided Richard with an insider’s view into the complex world of Canadian politics.
Richard and his wife Valerie then founded their own companies, pursuing their shared passion for travel and discovery. An avid reader and researcher, Richard's interests led him to write his first novel, "Deception of the Gods." Set in the final year of World War II, the novel follows a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) pilot tasked with working alongside a mysterious female MI6 agent.
Join him to discover if these two alpha personalities, both in command positions, can learn to trust or even love each other. "Deception of the Gods" is the first book in the "In the Shadows of the Gods" trilogy.
